AMT requires all practitioner and student members to have a national police history check. You will be required to redo the check three years from the date on the certificate you supply to AMT.
There is a range of ways to apply. You can apply via the police department in your state (this will involve an in-person visit to a police station) or you can use an accredited online supplier and complete the whole process from the comfort of your own home.
AMT has partnered with National Crime Check to bring you discounted rates and a dedicated portal to obtain your police check online. The whole process only takes around 10 minutes and can be completed from the comfort of your own desktop computer, smartphone or tablet. Your check will be emailed back to you. AMT will also receive a copy of the check from National Crime Check.
You'll find the AMT police check portal here.
Once you have your check you can upload it directly to the AMT database via your membership portal. Let Olly the AMT Office dog show you how it’s done.
New applicants to AMT membership need to supply a national police check now to be admitted to AMT.
Please read our police check FAQS for more information regarding the scheme and guidance on how to obtain a check.
