Upgrading from Student to
Practitioner Level Membership
If you are a Student Member of AMT and have completed your course of study and qualified as a Massage Therapist you can upgrade to full practitioner membership.
As a current student member of AMT, you will not have to pay an application fee.
- If upgrading to General Level Membership please send $230 (includes GST), a completed application form, a copy of your current HLT First Aid certificate, and a copy of your Certificate IV in Massage. Download the Practitioner Application Form (PDF)
- If upgrading to Senior Level One Membership please send $280 (includes GST), a completed application form, a copy of your current HLT First Aid certificate, and a copy of your Diploma. Download the Practitioner Application Form (PDF)
- If upgrading to Senior Level Two Membership please send $300 (includes GST), a completed application form, a copy of your current HLT First Aid certificate, and a copy of your Advanced Diploma. Download the Practitioner Application Form (PDF)
The following can be used as a guideline for membership requirements.
General level membership is available to graduates who hold the following qualifications:
- HLT42015/HLT42021 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice
Senior Level One membership is available to graduates who hold the following qualifications:
- HLT52015/HLT52021 Diploma of Remedial Massage
- HLT52115 Diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Remedial Massage
- HLT52215 Diploma of Shiatsu and Oriental Therapies
Senior Level Two membership is available to graduates who hold the following qualifications:
- CIT Advanced Diploma of Health Science (Soft Tissue Therapy)
- 22316VIC Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy
Please note: Your upgrade will usually be processed within two weeks of receipt of all documentation at AMT Head Office and you will be notified of the result in writing.
