In 2024, AMT embarked on a project to update its research database using new bibliographic tools and artificial intelligence to grade studies. Work on this project is ongoing but the first phase of grading systematic reviews and meta-analyses is complete. This new research resource is available for download below and can also be accessed as a public library on Zotero.
The massage therapy research cited in AMT's 2013 to 2018 database has been classified according to the National Health and Medical Research Council's (NHMRC) evidence hierarchy. It includes a brief summary of the current state of the evidence for massage therapy in connection with a range of presenting conditions and populations.
